I’m Teresa, a lifelong learner, educator, and soon-to-be graduate with a Master’s in Education Technology. My journey in education began in 1998 as a substitute teacher, quickly evolving into a full-time calling. Within a year, I became a teaching assistant, and soon after, returned to college to earn my Bachelor's in History and my certification as a classroom teacher. More than two decades later, I still find joy and purpose in teaching middle school students, each day offering new challenges, insights, and moments of connection.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to three adult children who share my passion for curiosity and continuous learning. Whether I’m diving into academic research, exploring new hobbies, or adventuring outdoors, I thrive on discovery and growth.
Pursuing my Master’s degree has been more than an academic milestone; it’s been a transformative experience. This program has offered me not only an incredible educational journey, but also a clearer vision of what I might want to do with the remaining years before retirement and beyond. It’s sparked new ideas, opened unexpected doors, and reaffirmed my belief that meaningful work doesn’t end when the classroom chapter closes.
As I approach retirement age, I’m not winding down; I’m evolving. I’m excited to transition into a new chapter where I can support educators through instructional design, technology integration, and professional development. I’m committed to continuing the journey, asking new questions, and discovering what I want to be when I grow up.
