Even 20 years ago most of us couldn't have imagined where Web 2.0 would take us. I grew up when computers were just begining to be a "thing" and very very few people had a computer at home. The 80's brought us sneak peeks into what "could" be but it was fantasy-ish at the time (think Back to the Future). Even as a young adult I was limited to personal sites like Geocities. I have watched technology grow from basic DOS systems into what it is today which is mindblowing to say the least and now we are looking down the tunnel at Web 3.0 and potentially Web 4.0. Are they too much or just enough?
There is a lot of controversy over the future of the Web and its impact on, well, everything. It is important to stay on top of potential future trends to keep your school/district heading in a direction that will allow for smooth transitions.
In this video I look at what Web 3.0 is and some of its possible pros and cons.
